Customer Reviews

The best rack you can buy in Canada without spending a fortune
I'm blown away by the quality and stability of this rack. It's rock solid and for the money, it's likely impossible to do better in Canada. This is a 1-to-1 equivalent of the highly praised REP PR-5000 v2 and it'll be compatible with most 3x3" 1" hardware accessories. It's the center piece of my home gym and I couldn't be happier with it. A few things you might want to know:

1) You don't need to bolt this down. It's over 300 lbs. It's going nowhere. I personally added two storage pins from Rogue making it even more stable with the added plates (if that was possible). You can bolt it down if you want, but you don't have to. I'm currently 270 lbs and I can hang from the pull-up bar without the rack budging a millimeter.

2) Ideally, you'd want two people to build this. It'll take you 2-3 hours at most and it's very straightforward. Watch instructions on how to build a PR-5000 on YouTube and you'll be set.

3) You'll want to get yourself a long-ish 1/2" drive socket wrench (like 16" or so), a 36 mm 1/2" drive socket (for the bolt), and an adjustable wrench that can stretch to 35mm for the nut. I got all three from Canadian tire. The socket was in the automotive section and I found the rest in the hardware section.

4) The delivery company (Day & Ross) is very much hit-and-miss. They lost mine for 2 weeks. But shipping is cheap and so it might be worth the hassle of following up with the delivery company a couple of times to get them to deliver the rack if you run into an issue.

5) I got the safety straps and they work really well. They're worth it in my opinion. The dip attachment is also quite nice and doesn't wiggle as some people mentioned in their PR-5000 reviews. So, maybe Bronson improved upon REP for their attachments.

6) Athlos is a good company. I contacted them a couple of times and they followed up promptly. If you have questions, feel free to hit me up on social media (same nickname) and I'll be happy to answer them for you.

The only power rack you will ever need
The quality of the rack is superb. I have zero complaints with it and it is the king of 3 x 3 racks in my opinion. The powder coating is very durable and can tell it will continue to look great for years to come. Can't wait to see what other attachments and accessories Athlos will release next so I can continue adding to this beast of a rack. Review by Mathew / (Posted on 3/14/2022)
